I’m very flattered that you’d take an interest in this piece I made as a tribute to Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory.
I’m not looking to profit from these. The price covers materials and shipping only- labor and time will not be factored in.
Each piece is handmade from live-edge walnut with a metallic charcoal epoxy river and white epoxy inlay. Because every piece of walnut is different, no two will be exactly alike.

Please allow up to 5 weeks for your piece to ship. Each one is made from scratch and requires three different types of epoxy, multiple pours, and several curing stages. Some of those stages require up to a week of cure time before I can move on to the next step.

I made the original version of this piece in my shop on September 20, 2026, after learning that Chad Gilbert had passed away.
New Found Glory has been part of my life for a very long time, and I wanted to go make something. I pulled “I’m sick of smiling” from Understatement and paired it with the imagery of pulled teeth. I wasn’t designing something to sell. It was just how I wanted to spend that day.
After I shared it, several people asked if I’d consider making one for them. So, here we are.
I don’t feel right making money from these. The price is intended only to cover the walnut, three different epoxies and other consumable materials that go into making the piece, plus packaging and shipping. My time isn’t included.
Every one will be made individually in The Blue Shop from live-edge walnut. The natural edge, grain, coloration, knots and other characteristics will vary from board to board- that’s part of it. Your piece won’t be a factory-perfect duplicate of the original, but the design and overall appearance will remain the same.
The standard river is metallic charcoal, as pictured. If you’d prefer another river color, that’s totally fine. Email me within 24 hours of placing your order (justin.callmemabie@gmail.com) with the color you have in mind. After that window, I may have already started pouring your piece and can’t guarantee changes.
Each finished piece is approximately 8″ wide × 12″ tall and can be ordered with either a cork backing for displaying it flat or a wall hanger installed on the back with the necessary hanging hardware included. Choose your preference at checkout.
These take a while. There are multiple CNC operations, three types of epoxy, several separate pours, sanding and finishing involved. Certain epoxy stages need as much as a full week to cure before I can safely continue working on the piece. Please allow up to five weeks before shipment.
And seriously- thank you for wanting one. This started as something I made because I was sad about somebody whose music meant a lot to me. I’m pretty touched that it meant enough to other people that they’d want one in their own home.
